Where do we go from here?

We dig in. No retreat.

Well, that was disappointing.

Bangor Daily News called the race for Governor late last night, with incumbent Janet Mills taking the victory. Given the lack of energy, creativity and prevalence of mixed messaging of the LePage campaign, this isn’t surprising.

This image below - of Governor Mills dancing as she celebrates 4 more years of trampling on the constitutional rights of Mainers - was especially nauseating.

Bangor Daily News is also reporting that Democrats will remain in control of the Maine Legislature, as the Maine GOP failed to flip enough seats.

Democrats will remain in control of the Blaine House, State Senate and State House for the next 2 years.

Nationally, it does appear that the Republicans will retake control of US House of Representatives and at this time, several US Senate races are too close to call. The Red Wave may not have been as large as many as hoped, but there will be some balance to the actions of progressive liberals on a national level.

The liberal, progressive and controlling policies of Maine Democrats have ample opportunity to continue in our state. Ultimately, the voters chose to not hold their leaders accountable for the abusive and harmful lockdowns and vaccine mandates.

So where do we go from here?

We dig in.

Again.

Each of us must continue to do what we can.

To create a community based on truth, each of us must contribute.

We cannot rely on the Republican Party to do it for us.

We must all commit to “live not by lies.”

For my part, Keep Maine Free will continue to report on Governor Mills and Dr. Shah’s actions related to the pandemic.

Across the nation - and in our state - the “Tripledemic” term is being tossed about due to rising flu, COVID-19 and RSV hospitalizations. The fear mongering is back.

With a Democrat victory, there is little doubt that Governor Mills will try add the COVID-19 Vaccines for school sometime in 2023.

I am hoping to draw some attention to the gender ideological cult that is a force within the Democrat empowers Maine Department of Education. As scary as the vaccines are for our kids health, the constant spread of a “gender affirming” cult into our Elementary, Middle and High Schools is a threat to their very identity at a core level.

It’s painfully clear major newspapers and media outlets are ideologically captured. We must support alternative news sources - both local and national.

These stories must be told and information must continue to flow freely.

Regardless what the next few years hold, we are going to be there, reporting on the truth as we see it.

Now - more than ever - it’s necessary for each of us to do our part.
